Welcome to the homepage of Community Ministry for Girls, Inc. – a faith-based inter-denominational, service-oriented, mentoring Bible Study program for teenage girls. The vision of Community Ministry for Girls (CMG) is to prepare young girls to become Godly women who impact their spheres of life for Christ.
This vision is accomplished through the ministry’s team of Bible study leaders who teach, train and equip secondary school girls through weekly Bible studies, area projects and field trips. Through these activities, the girls learn to develop and apply attributes and character traits in their lives that are pleasing to God as they transition into adult women. The ministry’s foundation is the sharing of the “Good News” – the gift of eternal life through a personal relationship with Christ – and its impact on how a follower of Christ should live.
The Bible study leaders pray that the students will:
• Maintain purity
• Resist peer pressure
• Serve as a positive role model
• Share the Good News
• Mature as children of God
CMG was founded by Donna Greene in 1973 and the ministry has impacted the lives of over 4,500 girls. The legacy continues under the leadership of the Board of directors and Mary Lauren Burdeshaw.
